Artist Statement

I came to San Francisco to live because the city called to me. -the way the beauty of our landscape rolls out around every corner and takes your breath away when you least expect it. The beauty of San Francisco indeed inspires.
From my roof you can see tomorrow…..that is what it feels like at the end of the day looking West. The sun lowers through the mist on the horizon and brightens in the late day sky... And it leaves long dark shadows in the lower areas like the mission. The sunset illuminates dramatically along the East/West streets.
As you climb down the streets of Potrero Hill you take in the busyness of the market street financial district. Looking through the tangle of industry in the SOMA neighborhood…. the height of the buildings climbs as you reach downtown. And the chill of the afternoon wind that ushers in the evening fog quickens the pace of the workday ending….
